Disco Fever

Thursday night was disco night.  Room 6 was out in force, moving and grooving and looking very good in their best dancing clothes!!  

Print Making

Room 6 have been busy print making.  We completed sketches of some of New Zealand's most iconic plants.  We indented our drawings into a polystyrene block and took a first ink print off that.  We went back to our block and indented some more and did a second printing with a different colour.  We are very excited with the results!!

CAPES Clean Up

On Wednesday 3rd of September Year 5-8 students who were interested in earning CAPES Service and Enterprise points did a clean up of their local environment after school.   After doing the rubbish clean up around the school, the students walked down to the Outram Glen and picked up an amazing amount of rubbish that had been discarded there.  In this photo Hamish and Isaac show how much rubbish they collected.

Ethan's Spider

Ethan brought a super large spider to school.  He found this spider floating in some water in some empty planter pots at his house.  This was the biggest spider most of us have seen.  Ethan did some research and he thinks it is a wolf spider.
