Busy Friday

It was really lovely to see some sunshine on Friday and lunch time saw a group of Room 6 boys out with their hockey sticks.

There was some good dribbling and tackling skills on show.

Not all the Room 6'ers were outside though.  A craze has taken the room by storm...

The wasgij (a guess what is in the picture jigsaw with only a few clues and no picture to work from) is really coming along. Quite addictive...I even saw Mr Marshall a little side tracked with it

Sam spent her lunch time in the Allen Centre playing 'Googly Eyes' one of the terrific games Mrs Bremner has on the go in there.

Rylan and Fletcher were busy  in Room 8 with their Robotics tutors (Seniors Josh and Toby)

whilst Andrew is here working with his buddy William and their senior Robotics tutor, Joe.

"They are a terrific team..." says Joe,
"Andrew is an amazing constructor and William is brilliant at programming."

Friday afternoon was busy for many of the Room 6 students with Kapa Haka practice in the hall with Mrs Ward and Mrs Jackson.

There was also Senior Team Singing in Room 5, so quite a musical afternoon. It has been a very busy week and I think we are all ready for the weekend.

Senior Trip to see The Organ Pipes

Here we are getting off the bus ready to start our tramp.

The track climbed steeply in places.

There was a lot of interesting plant life along the way.

The Organ Pipes were pretty impressive.

Signal Hill.

Amazing views along the way.

The trees and bush changed as we dropped lower into the valley.

Plenty of time to play at the end before we catch the bus back to school.

Room 6 Play Scrabble for Fun Tournament

Room 6'ers Rylan, Evie, Bridget and Meg played in the Scrabble For Fun Tournament at Dunedin Library on Friday. There were several teams from schools around Dunedin all playing.

We won some and we lost some but it was definitely fun. The Channel 9 news team even came to do some filming. Check out Friday 6th May news (about 19 minutes in) click here to view
